Blueprint Gaming, the gaming developer that is part of the Germany-based Gauselmann Group, has concluded the acquisition of the UK games developer Livewire Gaming.

The deal is part of a push by Blueprint Gaming to cement their position as an industry leader in the supply of content to the online and real-world slot gaming industry.

Livewire Gaming

Livewire Gaming has worked in collaboration with Blueprint Gaming for several years, bringing a host of real-world Category C, B3, D, and B4 games to the UK gaming industry. The move will likely see Blueprint Gaming’s titles adapted for the online gaming market.

The details of the acquisition reveal that the Doncaster based Livewire Gaming will retain its status as an independent studio. The company will also retain its current leadership, with Alan Claypole remaining in his role as director.

Land Based

Livewire Gaming has traditionally focused on land-based gaming, and Blueprint will be looking to expand its footprint in this area, especially in the development of category C gaming. However, it is expected that Blueprint will look to bring Livewire Gaming’s land-based gaming titles to the online market.

Blueprint Gaming is part of the German-based Gauselmann Group and is currently licensed by both the Alderney Gambling Control Commission and the UK Gambling Commission.

Blueprint Gaming Expanding Online Gaming Offerings

The deal to bring Livewire Gaming under the banner of Blueprint Gaming is part of an expansion strategy that has been in place for several years. Back in February 2019, Blueprint Gaming completed the acquisition of Project Coin Limited, another UK games developer.

That deal successfully expanded Blueprint’s Gaming reach in the online and land-based UK gaming market. As part of the agreement, the companies worked together to develop and adapt Project Coin Limited’s existing titles for the online gaming market.

Project Coin Limited is behind the established, and popular gaming offerings Mega Bars and Find The Lady Poker.

Both these titles were adapted to be compatible with both Gauselmann Group’s hardware and Blueprint Gaming’s Remote Gaming Server.

Gauselmann Group’s recent expansion and acquisitions under Blueprint Gaming is part of a broader strategy to become a leading supplier of content to the online and real-world gaming industry.
