Live online casino specialists Evolution Gaming has recently announced plans to enter the newly legislated Swiss online gambling market. The firm has partnered with Grand Casino Baden for the venture.

Under the conditions of the deal, Evolution Gaming will provide its entire portfolio of live online casino titles to Grand Casino Baden’s forthcoming digital operation. The traditional brick-and-mortar casino is set to launch Jackpots.ch. Operation of the site will be overseen by its platform partner Gamanza.

Variety Of Online Games

Swiss gamblers will be afforded the opportunity to get involved with Evolution’s varied mix of live casino games, including live dealer Blackjack, Baccarat and Roulette. The titles will be readily available across desktop devices, smartphones and tablets.

Commenting on the announcement, James Stern, Chief Business Development Officer at Evolution, stated that he was “delighted” that Evolution had been selected by Switzerland’s most successful land-based casino.

In addition to this, Mr Stern added that his firm’s portfolio of games was a “perfect fit” for the House of Entertainment concept that Grand Casino Baden promotes.

Grand Casino Baden’s Chief Financial Officer Marcel Tobler agreed, saying that the choice of Evolution Gaming as their gaming provider was “the right decision”.

Mr Tobler added that Evolution’s live casino offer would “undoubtedly help” the firm to consolidate and develop Grand Casino Baden’s position as one of the continent’s most highly esteemed online casinos.

Swiss Legislation

Grand Casino Baden will be the first of four land-based gambling venues to launch an online casino in Switzerland, following new legislation to allow the operation of online gambling in the country.

The law comes into effect on July 1st, 2019 and will involve the blocking of international gambling sites by Swiss internet service providers. The law essentially means that Swiss online casino fans will be forced to play on Swiss-owned sites.

Jackpots.ch currently operates as a free-to-play casino, and currently has a customer base of over 15,000 players. This will undoubtedly put the brand at an advantage when the law changes, as registered customers will be able to fund their accounts and play for real money without having to go through the rigmarole of signing up.
