Recent news concerning online casino giant 32Red has seen them continue their foray into football sponsorship. The online operator has announced that an agreement has been made with Scottish football club Glasgow Rangers to extend their current shirt sponsorship deal. Kindred-owned 32Red have struck this new deal with the Scottish Premiership club to continue their existing shirt sponsorship deal for a further 2 years.

Sports  Partnerships

32Red first sponsored Glasgow Rangers back in 2014 when the club was climbing back up the Scottish leagues. Since then, they have forged a strong partnership which this latest news is evidence of.

By the time the new two-year extension is up by 2021, 32Red will have sponsored Rangers for a full seven straight seasons.

Interestingly, this is not the only football sponsorship deal that the online casino operator has been involved with. As well as Rangers in Scotland, they also sponsor English teams including Derby County, Leeds United and Aston Villa in some shape or form. In the past, they have also partnered with teams like Swansea City and Crawley Town.

This just goes to show the commitment that 32Red has towards extending their brand influence and breaking into new markets.

Positive Reaction

As you would expect, news of the new extension has been met with positive responses. Rangers Managing Director, Stewart Robertson, said,

We’re delighted to continue our relationship with 32Red for the next two seasons. They have been a loyal supporter and partner of the club since 2014 and we are pleased that their brand will continue to be on the front of our shirts.

In addition, Neil Bandbury, General Manager at Kindred Group said

32Red’s partnership with Rangers has been hugely beneficial for our business and we are thrilled to have extended that association once again. At 32Red, we are committed to reinventing the sports sponsorship model, so it benefits the whole community.”

Even well-known celebrities have seemingly been keen to react to the news. Former special forces soldier and TV tough guy Ant Middleton has been filmed receiving a Rangers football top with the 32Red logo on.

All this shows just what big news this is not only for the online casino world but also for the football industry too.
