Kindred Named “Best Workplace in Tech” For 2021

Great Place to Work U.K. has recently released its 2021 list of the best workplaces in tech within the United Kingdom. Kindred Group was recognized along with 22 other excellent large corporations.

Kindred’s employees cite an inclusive workplace environment and excellent work-life balance as reasons why they love to come to work.

This is the third consecutive year that Kindred Group has made it onto this Best Workplaces in Tech list. Great Places to Work U.K. has officially named Kindred Best Workplace in Tech for this year. This is a fantastic and exciting achievement for Kindred.

Additionally, inclusion on this list is even more meaningful because employee engagement surveys drive the results. The survey used measures how consistently employees report a positive workplace environment.

In a statement to the press, Kindred’s chief HR Officer Gavin Hayward said:

“We are extremely proud to receive this recognition for the third year running. The pandemic has tested us, and we’ve had to manage big changes in personal and professional lives. At Kindred, we have invested in training for our employees on how to manage remote working, their own mental health and avoid burnout. We have also trained managers to support the mental health of their teams.”

Survey Says Kindred Group Has What Employees Need

There are prerequisites to being considered for Great Place to Work U.K.’s Best Workplace in Tech list.

Employees are given a Trust Index survey that asks for honest responses to a series of questions about their workplace. Companies are scored and ranked by these engagement surveys. In addition, this is a coveted award, so there are many companies in the running.

At Kindred, 89 percent of employees felt they were warmly welcomed when they first joined. Additionally, 93 percent said Kindred was a friendly place to work. The overwhelming majority of workers also said they were proud to tell others where they work. Finally, 95 percent of workers said that they felt supported in maintaining a work-life balance.

The survey conducted for this report also measures other factors that contribute to a positive workplace. It accounts for fairness, trust in leadership, camaraderie, physical health and mental well-being.

Benedict Gautrey, Great Place to Work U.K.’s managing director, commented, “Technology has enabled the world of work to evolve with pace during the pandemic – and it’s what will continue to push even more leaders to embrace new ways of working, no matter their organization size, location or industry.”

He went on to say, “Those within the U.K.’s tech space who have actively prioritized building a positive employee experience and supported their people’s personal well-being are the ones we’re proud to celebrate today.”
