The 2022 edition of the Global Gaming Expo is here, and it’s estimated that around 25,000 people will be attending. This is one of the largest industry events in the world. It’s known for being one of the biggest networking opportunities and demonstrations of innovation in the online gambling world.
The 2022 Global Gaming Expo is Off and Running
Trade shows have been an important part of the online gambling world for decades. They give people from all aspects of the industry an opportunity to meet with each other. Additionally, they get to see what the industry is aiming for in the upcoming years. On top of that, a variety of events are held that help to highlight what’s going on in the present as well.
This is one of the largest events of its kind, and it runs for a full four-day weekend.
Everything that goes into this event has helped to make it one of the most important trade shows available. However, it also gives players a lot of interesting things to look forward to in the next year. That’s because the largest of these events are often used to showcase what developers and operators are working on. It’s especially the case for things that are relatively close to their release dates.
Rallying the Strength of the Online Casino and Gaming Industry
Put on by the American Gaming Association, one part of the story here is that it’s one of their largest crowds ever. For the past couple of years, crowds were limited for a variety of reasons outside of their control. However, we’re now seeing things get back to the capacity that they were at previously.
For example, the 2019 version offered an attendance of around 27,000 people. They’re expected to come just shy of that at around 25,000 this time around. With that said, no one will really be surprised if they break the 2019 number, which is the current record, in 2023.
One of the themes of this year’s event is the strength of the industry as a whole. A total of over 350 different companies and exhibitions are had in this event across more than a quarter million square feet. Additionally, something cool about this event is that it’s taking place in an area more than 40 percent larger than what the record 2019 turnout offered. That shows that the industry is continuing to grow regardless of current events.
Educational Opportunities and More
Media and industry figures alike are able to take part in a number of different events. A total of six major keynote talks are taking place at this show. Additionally, over 80 different educational mini-events are happening over the course of the four-day weekend. It just goes to show that the people attending this event have a lot to look forward to.
The talks and educational opportunities are a big part of why a lot of people go. However, another reason is the ability to meet in person with other people in the industry. It’s a business that is spread all over the world, and people don’t have opportunities to meet in person all that often. Trade shows like this can sometimes be the best opportunities for that type of networking and catching up with old coworkers and friends.
The G2E 2023 is Already Announced
It’s worth noting that the 2023 edition of the Global Gaming Expo has already been announced. This time, it will run from October 9 through October 12, and again, it will be in Las Vegas at The Venetian Expo.
We love seeing events like this play out and serve as hubs for ideas to be presented to the industry. Additionally, it’s where we get our first look at plenty of innovative concepts. Some of these concepts have come to define the entire industry and shape everything that we see in the online casino world along with it.
