The year is wrapping up, but Microgaming isn’t resting on their laurels with new releases. This December, players are receiving lots of new games. This includes a new poker entry into the online casino space as well as several online slots.
New Games Hitting Microgaming for December
Microgaming seems to come out with a ton of new games each year. Several new titles come out each and every month, and December is no exception even with the holiday. That’s made even more the case with all of their software partnerships with slot providers.
With that said, the thing getting the most attention from this month is actually a poker release.
Don’t get us wrong because the slot selection is looking tremendous. However, their interesting new entry into the poker space has players facing off against each other. Anytime you put players against each other in the casino space, people are going to sit back and take a notice. That’s exactly what’s happening this December.
However, if you’re more of a slots fan, you won’t be disappointed. Lots of features, themes and jackpots are going to be available with the games that are coming out for their platform in the upcoming month.
Hold’em Poker – A New Experience for Players
On December 9, 2020, players will get their first chance to play Hold’em Poker, a new poker game. This is actually a game where players will go against each other for a €5 entry fee. It uses a small tournament or “sit and go” format where things start off as soon as there are enough players. Skill is definitely a part of the situation, but other mechanics have been added as well.
Of particular note is a special progressive jackpot. This will seed at the €25,000 level, and it’ll get bigger and bigger until someone randomly picks it up.
Another random mechanic based on a wheel of prizes is also available. All of the details will be more widely available once the game is actually launched. However, they have announced that this is just the first in a series of similar titles that they’re releasing soon.
New Online Slots
Silverback Multiplier Mountain from JustForTheWin Studios along with Alchemy Fortunes from All41 Studios are two of the new games that will probably get the most attention. They both have similar gameplay styles in terms of bringing a lot of features and fast-paced action. However, the formats and themes are completely different, and they also feel different when you play.
Triple Edge Studios has also made a contribution this month in the form of Assassin Moon. This game follows a female assassin nicely named Luna. She strikes when the moon is right, and players can pick up jackpots worth up to 5,000x the bet size. An optional side bet WinBooster gives more frequent big wins at a cost, so that’s something to look forward to as well.
Big Time Gaming has three different releases hitting Microgaming-powered online casinos in December. These include Donuts, Lucky Streak MK2 and Slot Vegas. Along with those titles, Christmas Cashpots, Santa King Megaways and Santa Stacked Free Spins are all getting releases from Inspired. Overall, it’s clear that they’re bringing both quality and quantity with their December slot additions.
Overview
As we wind down 2020, Microgaming has made this a tremendous year with a lot of progress. A lot of this has come in the form of tons of new releases, and we can see why once again. Not only are they releasing lots of new slots, but the new form of poker is super exciting as well.
It’s also worth noting that most of their new releases are not holiday-themed. Some software and platform providers really flood things with holiday-themed titles this time of year. While there are definitely some of them mixed in, they aren’t the majority, and we think that’s a pretty good mix.
