Playson has expanded once again with a deal that will give them a foothold in Germany. This comes through a content distribution agreement with Ously Games. As a result, a lot of their titles will be available in the German regulated market.

Playson Makes Moves in the German Market

Different software companies are always trying to get into more regulated markets. This allows them to get new players and reach more fans than they could otherwise. The new deal with Playson and Ously Games is important for this very reason.

Ously Games is going to host titles from Playson. As a result, this software developer will expand their reach in Germany in a very real way.

Playson puts out a lot of great titles, and it’s great to see them expanding more on the business side. With new releases coming out on a regular basis and a high-quality portfolio, it’s not surprising that this type of expansion is happening for them. Through this deal, those games are going to get in front of more players. That’s obviously something that’s great news for everyone involved, especially people playing the games.

Which Titles Are Included in This Deal

In a lot of similar agreements, the entire portfolio of the software company in question is involved. However, that’s not the case here for this particular deal, which is a little atypical. With that said, it’s not exactly uncommon either.

Instead of all of their games being available, things will start out with a more limited selection. This is an issue of quality over quantity to a degree in that they want Playson’s most popular slots first. Room for more games to become a part of this agreement is written into the deal, however. That means that we could see new releases and other established titles shared with Ously Games in the future.

Regardless, getting more players able to play some of this game developer’s top titles is good for everyone involved. This is exactly the type of thing we like to see because it’s ultimately the players who benefit the most.

The Regulated German Market

Things are interesting right now within online casinos in Germany and online gambling in general. They finally got their regulatory framework set up and figured out, and it’s launching in early 2021. Playson’s deal with Ously Games ensures that they will have their initial foothold into this market. That’s something that a lot of software companies are trying to do right now. However, not all of them are having such luck.

The technical requirements of the framework are one issue that some companies are having. Playson has always been very serious about having very high standards for themselves in this area. As a result, they are more able to hop right in when opportunities like this one arise. It’s no surprise that they have such a good history when it comes to this sort of thing.

What Comes Next

We’re really just going to have to wait and see what happens in the newly regulated German market. Markets opening like this isn’t something new, but it doesn’t happen as often as it used to. That’s simply because so many regulated markets already exist.

With that said, Germany has been trying to figure this out for quite a while. They’re definitely behind the curve compared to countries like the United Kingdom, France and Spain on this point. However, they’ve had some great examples to look toward. That means that we expect things to go pretty smoothly.

In any case, Playson is in a great position. German players will be glad to have a regulated market to finally play in. Moreover, they’ll have access to tons of great games, and the slots provided by Playson will be among that number. As this market opens up and things smooth out, we’ll be interested to see how they do there and how many more titles they release in that regulated market.
