Big Time Gaming is amongst the new breed of online slot developers giving the old faces such as NetEnt and Microgaming a run for their money in the 21st century. Most experienced slot gamblers will know about them due to the incredible Megaways technology that this innovative developer is responsible for, a game mechanic that regularly results in over 100,000 ways to win. It’s not hard to see why it has become so popular…
This system was developed a few years ago and hit the slots mainstream with the hit Big Time Gaming title Bonanza.
It opened everybody’s eyes to the ludicrous possibilities on the online slots platform, and now the developer is back with yet another innovative concept: Megaclusters.
Sounds exciting, doesn’t it? Read ahead for all we know about the Megaclusters mechanic so far!
Touted For Release In June 2020
The fist Megaclusters game from Big Time Gaming is reported as being Star Clusters Megaclusters, and the developer says that it is scheduled for release in June 2020.
From what we can see, Star Clusters Megaclusters looks to have taken some vital inspiration from previous slots such as Starburst by NetEnt, utilising the same kind of shiny gem-stone aesthetic.
This is the only game with Megaclusters technology inside to be actively scheduled for release by Big Time Gaming at the moment, however, there is an incredibly strong chance that more Megaclusters games will be on their way very soon after the release of Star Clusters Megaclusters.
Something That Threatens To Blow The Online Slot Industry-wide Open
Information about the Megaclusters system is still fairly limited as Big Time Gaming looks to accentuate the excitement surrounding this new development, however, what we do know is that it appears to be a beefed-up version of the Cluster Pay mechanism first pioneered by NetEnt on games like Aloha! Cluster Pays and the aforementioned Starburst.
From what we can see about the Megaclusters mechanic, the reel configuration is entirely flexible, with some symbols expanding in size and therefore changing the makeup of the reels.
We wonder whether Big Time Gaming will ever merge Megaclusters with Megaways…
